Here’s what we can do for you

- We will refer you to a debt relief organization Vroegeropaf. They will work with you to find a suitable solution.
As a resident, you may be entitled to various schemes
- Do you have a low income and limited funds? See if the municipality can do something for you: amsterdam.nl/en/work-income/benefits-low-income/ (Amsterdam) or www.diemen.nl/en/subjects/Money_problems_You_are_not_alone (Diemen). Here you will find many different schemes such as housing allowance (woonkostentoeslag) or One-off energy allowance (energietoeslag).
- Do you have social housing? If so, you may be entitled to rent allowance or other benefits. Go to www.belastingdienst.nl/toeslagen (in Dutch). You can calculate directly whether you can get and apply for a benefit.
- Has your income decreased recently? If so, you may be entitled to a rent reduction. For more information, visit lievendekey.nl/rent-reduction.
- Do you have a lower income after income-related rent increase? Then you can ask us to reverse the income-related rent increase. Also, if your rent is too high for housing benefit, your rent can sometimes be reduced. For more information, visit lievendekey.nl/rent-reduction.
Tip: at Nibud (in Dutch) you can calculate in a few steps what amounts you may be entitled to. You can also immediately see where you can apply for these.

- At Geldfit (Dutch) you can find free information about money in your situation. You can also take a test and find out within 2 minutes what you can do. Or contact them directly and anonymously via 0800-8115.
